From data sources, a list of indicators were developed and down selected by the Program and Service committee and then approved by the FACT Empowerment Board. The detailed indicator matrix will provide for easier monitoring of the trends in Adair County. Additionally, it will correlate the effectiveness of funded empowerment programs along with being utilized to monitor the community plan.

Adair County is a rural county that will most likely always face transportation challenges. Much of the workforce travels to the metro area which is 60 miles away. The state average is 6.2%. During the past year some of the manufacturing jobs have been lost locally as well. |

Adair County does not have a full time local DHS office. Therefore, linking families to prevention programs is essential. These include but not limited to home visitor programs, mental health services, and AEA services. There has been more awareness about child abuse due to CPPC and having a fulltime AmeriCorps member. |
